Tom McGrath is an award-winning journalist and writer. The former editor-in-chief of Philadelphia magazine, he’s received numerous accolades for his work, including the 2022 Writer of the Year Award from the City & Regional Magazine Association. He’s the author of the book MTV: The Making of a Revolution, which explored the birth, rise, and impact of the influential cable network. McGrath lives in suburban Philadelphia with his wife, Kate. They’re the parents of two daughters, Hannah and Sarah.
